GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Greenville police said they are investigating a shooting that left a person wounded Monday evening.
The shooting happened about 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Old Augusta Road and Potomac Avenue.
A man was walking back to the Shemwood Apartments from a convenience store when a vehicle drove by and an unknown person fired a shot at him, police said.
Police said the man was shot in the leg. They said someone picked up the injured person and took them to the apartments, where an ambulance was called. They said emergency workers then called police after seeing the injury.
Police said they are still trying to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
