GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A water main break in west Greenville impacted traffic on Tuesday and Wednesday, but officials said traffic returned to normal by Wednesday afternoon.
Jennifer DeWitt, spokeswoman for Greenville Water, said the 6-inch water line broke about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of White Horse Road and Washington Avenue.
DeWitt said traffic on both roads was affected while crews worked to repair the broken water line and the roadway. She said detours were lifted by 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Water service to customers affected by the break was restored by 9 p.m., DeWitt said.
