Police: Burglar break-in through roof, steal cash

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greenville store was closed for a short time after police said a burglar left behind structural damage.

Greenville police said someone broke into the Old Time Pottery store at 2425 Laurens Rd. sometime between 9:20 p.m. Monday and 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Someone broke into the store through the roof, stole thousands of dollars from the safe and left behind structural damage, investigators said.

Police said they are actively investigating the burglary.

A FOX Carolina viewer said the store was closed for a while on Tuesday, with a sign up that said it was closed until further notice. An Old Time Pottery employee said the store reopened Tuesday afternoon.

Police: Burglar break-in through roof, steal cash
