CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Campus police said a Clemson University freshman broke into a fellow student's dorm room and stole cash and food.
Clemson University police charged 18-year-old Avery Boone, of Greer, with burglary in the first degree after the items were taken from a Johnstone Hall room.
Police said the engineering major was charged with the felony and with misdemeanor public disorderly conduct after the Nov. 11 theft.
Boone was released on a $10,262.50 personal recognizance bond.
Police said they sent the case to the university's Office of Community and Ethical Standards.
