Man hit twice in drive-by shooting, police say

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Spartanburg man is recovering after he was shot twice in the leg on Saturday by someone in a passing vehicle, police said.

Spartanburg police said the victim was shot about 11 p.m. while walking along Dover Road near the Crown Pointe Apartments.

They said an unknown man in a light brown or beige SUV drove up, rolled down his window and yelled something at the victim.

The victim told police he did not hear what the man yelled, but then another man in the back seat fired several shots at him, hitting him twice as he tried to run away.

Police said the victim was treated for his injuries.

No arrests have been made.
