EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A report by ESPN said that NASCAR officials tentatively plan to add Greenville-Pickens Speedway to the truck series in 2013.

According to the report, NASCAR executive Steve O'Donnell said officials have visited the half-mile, paved Upstate track. He said plans are moving forward to add new barriers.

O'Donnell also told ESPN that officials are also considering a track in Ohio for the 2013 series. He said a track in Myrtle Beach is being considered for the 2014 season.

No one at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway could immediately confirm the announcement.
