The Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport opened its newly expanded economy parking lot ahead of the busiest travel week of the year.
The parking lot, which now has 415 more spaces to add to the 1,097 that were already available, opened to traffic Friday. The rate for the parking lot is $4 per day.

Passengers also have two locations inside the lot to rent luggage carts for $2 each.
The changes were part of a larger $102 million renovation plan at the airport.
