ABBEVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The Abbeville County Election Commission released the results of the runoff election on Tuesday.
Officials said Sarah Sherwood collected enough votes to win the race for major, with nearly 53 percent of the votes. Opponent Brenda Phillips Anderson brought in 47 percent of the votes.
Officials said Joshua Bryan Baughman collected enough votes to win the race for City Council District 7, with nearly 70 percent of the votes. Opponent Joe Scoggins received 30 percent of the votes.
Officials said these results are unofficial until they are certified at a later date.
