Asheville police said they are still looking for a man who has been wanted for five years in connection with two fatal shootings.
Police said Celerino Maldonado Ponce, 40, is wanted on two counts of first degree murder in connection with the Nov. 25, 2007 deaths of Apolinar Gallegos-Alvarez and Jose Gallegos-Alvarez, as well as the wounding of Martin Gallegos-Alvarez.
Ponce pulled out a gun and started shooting after a fight broke out at Billar Latino on Haywood Road, police said.
Officers said when they arrived, Ponce had already fled. Police believe he left Asheville immediately and they do not know where he is.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Asheville Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 828-255-5050.
