GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Ice on Main opened Friday morning for the second year in a row.

The Greenville Tech Ice on Main rink opened at 11 a.m. It is located next to the Courtyard Marriott and City Hall along Main Street's Village Green.

Last year was the first Ice on Main, and the downtown rink drew thousands skaters throughout the holiday season.

"It's just another fantastic opportunity to highlight downtown," said David Sudduth, Greenville Mayor Pro Tem. "The ice skating rink last year was a great amenity for downtown and we expect even more visitors this year."

Ice on Main runs through Jan. 21. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children 12. The price also includes skate rental.
