Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Friday about 2:45 p.m. after they said he got out of his car and showed a gun at a traffic light.
Investigators said the suspect and a Greenville police officer, who was driving an unmarked car, were traveling in the same direction when the suspect pulled a gun. Deputies said they are investigating the incident as a suspected road rage case.
Deputies said the officer then put on his blue lights, but the suspect got back in his car and drove off. Investigators said the police officer stopped the suspect at a home on Lily Street in Greenville. The officer called for backup, and police as well as deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was arrested and charged with pointing and presenting a firearm. FOX Carolina will continue to follow the story and bring you the latest.
