ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Troopers said they are investigating a fatal crash that sent three people to the hospital and killed a fourth person in Anderson.
The Highway Patrol said the accident happened about 6 a.m. along U.S. 29 less than half a mile south of Anderson and involved two Ford Explorer SUVs.
Troopers said one SUV was driving north on U.S. 29 when the vehicle crossed the center line, hitting the other SUV head-on.
The driver of the second SUV and her two passengers were all taken to AnMed Hospital with injuries while the other driver died at the scene, troopers said.
The victim's name has not yet been released by the coroner's office.
