Good morning!  Warmer temperatures and another rain-free afternoon will make you want to get outside - but don't do any outdoor burning today.  The very dry air and lack of rain will keep the fire danger high, so save burning for a better day!  The following are specifics from the NWS GSP:

INCREASED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON...

MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO FALL TO AROUND 25PERCENT ACROSS MUCH OF THE NORTH CAROLINA MOUNTAINS THISAFTERNOON. LOWER ELEVATIONS WILL SEE THE LOWEST RELATIVE HUMIDITYVALUES. FUELS REMAIN VERY DRY AND EVEN THOUGH THE WINDS WILL BELIGHT...FIRE DANGER WILL BE ELEVATED THROUGH THE AFTERNOON HOURS.PLEASE REFER TO YOUR LOCAL BURN PERMITTING AUTHORITIES ON WHETHERYOU CAN BURN ON MONDAY.
