SENECA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Fire destroyed an Oconee County family-owned restaurant Wednesday morning, leaving behind a shell of a building.

Sixty firefighters from Oconee and Anderson counties responded to the blaze at Weinacker's Restaurant on Coneross Creek Road just after midnight. The restaurant is located steps away from Lake Hartwell near Townville.

Firefighters said it took 90 minutes to get the fire under control. Fire officials will spend Wednesday investigating what sparked the fire.
