GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
An industrial chemical manufacturer announced they will open a new plant in Gaffney, creating several new jobs.
Royce Associates, a manufacturer and supplier of industrial chemicals, said they will invest $1 million, generating 25 new jobs. The company recently bought a 14-acre site and 48,000-square-foot building along Peachview Boulevard.
"Gaffney is a perfect fit for Royce. Geographically, it makes a lot of sense with our current and future customer base," said Harry Anand, president of Royce International. "We are recognized for industry leading technical experts in the various industries we serve. We plan to bring this technology to our new Gaffney site and use this as the foundation for our next stage of growth."
The Gaffney plant will house Royce's chemical production and distribution operations, serving customers in the textile, paper, construction and plastics markets.
They said the facility should be operational by the end of the year. They are hiring for new positions immediately. Anyone interested in job opportunities with the company should send an e-mail to career@royceintl.com.
Royce was founded in 1929 in East Rutherford, NJ, and has five other facilities across the country and several internationally.
