Overnight: A few spotty showers will persist through tonight as a cold front slowly moves through our region. This rain won't be very widespread, but any rain we can get is a welcome change at this point. Expect the potential for some wet roads around our area early on Thursday.
Thursday: Our sky will stay cloudy tomorrow and temperatures will be much cooler. Also, we'll keep the chance for spotty rain around, especially before lunch. This rain won't amount to much and the odds are that your town stays dry under a cloudy sky. Temperatures won't budge much tomorrow. After starting in the 40s for Upstate towns (some 30s in Western NC), afternoon highs won't make it past the low 50s in many Upstate towns with 40s expected in Western NC towns.
Friday: We'll end the work-week on a slightly warmer note with more clouds than sun as temperatures make it back above 55° for most Upstate towns. A slim chance for rain can't be discounted, but just like Thursday, there won't be much upper-level energy creating the necessary lift for rain.
Saturday & Sunday: The warmest two days will come on the weekend as thermometers rise past 60°. Expect highs to range between 65° and 70° both days.
Significantly Cooler Next Week?: There is quite a bit of evidence indicating that a winter chill may be headed in here sometime between December 10th and December 17th. This shouldn't be anything more than dry, cold air, but could be a key factor in where things trend toward late December and early January. We'll keep you updated.
