GRAY COURT, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they have several suspects in custody after an elderly woman reported a burglary at her home Thursday afternoon.

Laurens County deputies said the woman called for help after she was able to run out her back door as the men broke in.

Deputies said they got a description of the men and their car, looking at similar style homes in the area to see if they could find them. Investigators found a vehicle that fit the description at a home on Highway 101 South.

The car tried to speed off and two suspects were seen inside the home, who led deputies on a brief foot chase, investigators said. Later, another homeowner on Ballenger Road returned to find their home burglarized too.

Sheriff Ricky Chastain told FOX Carolina that there were three similar incidents in the same area of Gray Court. He said they are also looking for a woman and a car in connection with the burglaries.

Deputies said they arrested Jahquan Peterson, 20, and Carlton Gregory Jr., 19, both of Irmo. They were both charged with two counts of first-degree burglary, use of a weapon during a violent crime, second-degree burglary and grand larceny.

Deputies said more arrests are expected and if anyone has any information regarding these crimes, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 864-68-CRIME or the Laurens County Sheriff's Office at 864-984-4967.
