SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Deputies hope someone can identify a man seen on an Upstate Target store's surveillance who allegedly stole meat and cell phone accessories this week.
Spartanburg County deputies said the man shoplifted cell phone accessories and meat from the Target Store at 8199 Warren H. Abernathy Hwy. about 1:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
When confronted by a loss prevention employee, the man fought with them and fled in a silver 2002 Honda Civic with South Carolina license plate HGA-378 registered to a Highland Avenue home that is vacant, deputies said.
Spartanburg Public Safety officers told deputies of a shoplifting incident in the city involving the same car and a similar man. Deputies said he is described as in his early 20s, is about 6' tall and weighs about 170 ponds.
If anyone can identify the man, they are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
