Daron Davis (Greenville Co. Detention Center)
GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Greenville County man who said he killed one daughter more than 15 years ago was found guilty of killing another daughter on Thursday.
A jury found Daron Davis, 44, guilty of homicide by child abuse, saying he killed his 5-month-old daughter. He was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole in his daughter's death.
Prosecutors argued that Davis killed his daughter in January 2011 by hitting her in the head and shaking her.
This was not the first time Davis was accused of killing one of his children. In 1996, he pleaded guilty to homicide by child abuse in Spartanburg County in connection with his first daughter's death.
He served 11 years of a 20-year sentence for her death, which prompted the state to seek a life without parole sentence this time.
