LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Laurens County deputies said they have arrested three people on possession of methamphetamine charges.
Deputies said they saw 34-year-old Chad Stites, of 452 Branch St. in Woodruff, walking along the road early Friday morning and he asked deputy for help getting a ride.
The deputy patted Stites down and found some pills and methamphetamine on him, deputies said. He was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of a schedule III controlled substance.
In another release, deputies said they were following up on information that there may be a meth lab at 452 Branch St. Deputies said they had to call in officials to clean up and dispose of the lab found at the home.
Deputies arrested 25-year-old Ashley Smith, of Gray Court, and 23-year-old Amber Stites, also of 452 Branch St., at the home. Both women were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
All three suspects are being held at the Laurens County jail.
