Smith Debnam Employees Raise Nearly $20,000 for the American Red Cross

Smith Debnam’s 6th annual American Red Cross Fundraising Campaign a great success

Raleigh, North Carolina (PRWEB) December 10, 2012

Smith Debnam recently concluded their 6th Annual American Red Cross Fundraising Campaign. In just two weeks, the firm exceeded their fundraising goal and raised nearly $20,000 for the American Red Cross - Triangle Area Chapter through the generous donations of their employees combined with a dollar for dollar match by the partners of the law firm.

To encourage support, the firm organized fundraising activities including a luncheon, a department challenge, and raffled prizes, many donated by area retailers. “This continues to be an event that our entire firm enjoys participating in each year,” said Jerry Myers, Managing Partner.

Smith Debnam also organizes two Red Cross blood drives each year for its employees and collects an average of 25 units of blood per event. The American Red Cross estimates that each unit of blood donated can save three lives. The firm has also trained over 10% of its employees to be able to respond with CPR and AED use in an emergency medical situation.
