GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies are investigating a man's death after they found his body early Tuesday morning.

Deputies said they found a man shot to death at a home on Lanford Drive, which is near White Horse Road.

Investigators said they were called to the home after receiving a disturbance call at 1:47 a.m.

The Greenville County coroner identified the victim as 51-year-old Joseph Crite, classifying his death as a homicide. He said Crite was shot multiple times.

"Why would you do my dad like that?" Crite's son Antwon Waller told FOX Carolina on Tuesday. "I just don't understand. I mean he was a good father, man. He started going to church and everything to change his life around. Now his life got taken."

Deputies said they are interviewing family and local residents, but they do not have any suspects identified in the shooting. However, they said they don't believe it was a random act.

Anyone with information on Crite's shooting is asked to call the Greenville County Sheriff's Office at 864-271-5210 or Crime Stoppers at 864-23-CRIME.
