Gaffney PTO secretary accused of stealing $5K

GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The secretary of a Gaffney school's parent-teacher organization was arrested after Cherokee County deputies said she stole more than $5,000 from the group.

Deputies said that between Oct. 6 and Dec. 3, Hope Minor, 35, of Gaffney, forged checks on the account for the Draytonville Elementary School PTO.

Minor was charged with breach of trust. She was released from the county jail on bond.
