Police: Security guard shoots armed man at Greenville nightclub

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police are investigating a shooting at a Greenville nightclub after they said a security guard shot another person armed with a weapon Wednesday morning.

Greenville police were called to Club Cream on Congaree Road about 2 a.m.

Officers said an armed security guard shot his weapon at someone else who had a gun. The man who was hit was taken to the hospital and is being treated for his injuries, police said.

There is no word on the man's condition.
