GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Greenville police said they have arrested three men following an "aggressive" bank robbery Wednesday morning.
Police said the robbery happened at the TD Bank at 1450 Wade Hampton Blvd. about 11 a.m. when two men entered the bank with guns drawn while a third waited outside in a getaway car.
Spokesperson Johnathan Bragg with the Greenville Police Department said the men jumped over the counter and took an unknown amount of money. He said they dropped some of the cash as they fled from the bank.
The getaway car was abandoned down the road and the men fled in a silver Dodge Charger with a Florida license plate, Bragg said. FOX Carolina crews at the scene said the first car was a silver Pontiac
and was left at the Brookside Garden Apartments with the lights and
windshield wipers still on. Police said that car had been stolen, but did not say from when or where.
Bragg said witnesses saw both men armed with handguns. He said no one was injured during the robbery though police said one of the men grabbed a customer, shoved her against the counter and held her against her will during the robbery.
On Thursday, police said they later arrested 22-year-old Joshua Watson, 28-year-old James McGowan and 27-year-old Jack Jenkins Jr. Police charged the men with bank robbery, first-degree assault and battery, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
