Amber Alert canceled for missing NC boy, 12

RALEIGH, NC (FOX Carolina) -

An Amber Alert has been canceled for a missing 12-year-old North Carolina boy.

Authorities had issued the alert Thursday evening, and said Pacen Joyce was taken by 46-year-old Karen Joyce from 175 Secretariat Ct. in Raeford.

Pacen Joyce was described as black, about 4' tall and 70 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt and navy blue jogging pants.

Karen Joyce was described as white, 5'1" tall and 110 pounds, with short, straight, blond hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a tan sweater and jeans.

The pair was believed to have been traveling in a black 2011 Mazda 3I with North Carolina license plate number BEE-7151, authorities said.

According to WRAL News, Joyce and her son were found at her house on Secretariat Court in Raeford about 11 p.m.

Authorities in Hoke County said Pacen was unharmed.
