NC man charged with killing friend

MOORESBORO, NC (AP) -

Authorities said a man shot and killed his friend after a dispute over drugs.

Cleveland County deputies said 20-year-old Kevin Cole was found dead around 9 p.m. Friday on the back porch of a home near Mooresboro.

Investigators said 26-year-old Matthew Moore was arrested a short time later and charged with murder.

Deputies said that investigators are still interviewing people connected with the case, but they think Moore and Cole knew each other and the killing was over drugs.

Moore is being held in the Cleveland County jail without bond. It wasn't known if he had an attorney.
