2 charged in connection with stabbing

HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they have charged two people in connection with a stabbing after a fight broke out last weekend.

Henderson County deputies said on Dec. 14 three people were stabbed after a fight about 10:30 p.m. in the Edneyville area. Two of the people were taken to Mission Hospital with stab wounds, deputies said.

Investigators arrested one of the men who was stabbed, 39-year-old James Aiken, at his home along with 28-year-old Shannon Stepp.

Aiken was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury after deputies said he stabbed the other man taken to Mission Hospital. Stepp was charged with resist, obstruct and delaying a public officer by providing false and misleading information during the investigation.
