Greenville Zoo's Giraffe Cam honored

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville Zoo's Giraffe Cam is being honored by EarthCam as one of the 25 most interesting webcams of 2012.

The webcam was installed as the zoo's 6-year-old Masai giraffe, Autumn was expected to give birth.

The webcam allowed nearly a million people across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Finland and France to witness the birth of baby boy Kiko.

The Giraffe Cam was selected from thousand of nominees by a panel of judges and EarthCam producers, according to EarthCam.com.

Autumn, Kiko and dad, Walter are still on display through the Giraffe Cam as the new family bonds.
