GAFFNEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The "Sh%t Southern Women Say" video, starring Gaffney native Julia Fowler has reached a big milestone - 3 million views on YouTube.
Fowler, who now lives in California, spent part of the holidays with her family in Cherokee County, and told FOX Carolina about the unexpected success of her video.
"I remember saying to the girls, 'my goal is to get 50,000 views. Wouldn't it be awesome if 50,000 people looked at it?'," she said.
Fowler said in the coming year, there will be a third video posted, as well as working on writing a television show based on the characters.
"People are identifying with it. People see themselves, and as a writer, what more can you ask for?," she said.
