Deputies in Pickens County said they've arrested a registered sex offender who kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 3-year old girl.
The suspect, 42-year-old Jerry Dudley, faced a judge Saturday morning and was denied bond.
Deputies said they were called to Dudley's house on Apple Hill Road in Easley on Friday night. They said that Dudley had lured the toddler to a wooded area behind his house, where the attack happened.
Dudley was charged with first-degree criminal sexual misconduct, kidnapping and inflicting great bodily injury on a child.
Deputies said the victim was treated for her injuries and is recovering at the hospital.
