Crews clean up Oconee Co. diesel spill

WESTMINSTER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Dispatchers said emergency crews and hazmat personnel were working to clean up a diesel spill near Westminster Monday morning.

Oconee County Fire Dispatch officials said the 150-gallon spill was near Highway 76/Long Creek Highway, about one mile outside of town.

Dispatchers said a semi truck spilled the diesel while traveling along Highway 76 but no homes or streams were affected.

Officials said they hoped to have the spill cleaned up sometime Monday morning.
