It's a perfect forecast for those of you who want to get out and celebrate tonight, then hunker down and watch football tomorrow! Expect some clouds tonight and chilly temps, but no rain until after midnight. So, if you are headed to downtown Greenville or our with friends to ring in 2013, you shouldn't have wet roads to deal with. Just be safe and have a designated driver!!!
As many of us eat collards, black eyed peas and cornbread tomorrow, we'll be watching it rain outside! A few of us will also be watching football! I'll be watching my bulldogs take on Northwestern in the Gator Bowl! Rain will start in the morning, and be off and on through the day. Rain should stay light to moderate, and by day's end many spots will receive about a half inch of rain. In the mountains, we could start Tuesday with a wintry mix before all rain takes over. Then Tuesday night a couple snow showers could develop near the TN border. We aren't expecting much winter weather though, little to no accumulation.
Showers will thin out Tuesday night, leaving just isolated showers for Wednesday. Another system moves through Thursday, but looks like the bulk of the moisture will be to our south. Should be all rain for the Upstate, with a light wintry mix in the mountains.
Happy New Year! 2012 was a great year for my husband and me, and we can't wait to meet our daughter in 2013!
