Piedmont house fire under investigation

Fire ravaged this Piedmont home on New Year's Day. (Jan. 1, 2013/FOX Carolina)

PIEDMONT, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A house fire is under investigation in Piedmont after a home was destroyed on New Year's Day.

Fire investigators said a home caught on fire about 11 a.m. Tuesday on Largress Lane in the Farms at Sandy Springs subdivision. Investigators said when fire crews arrived on scene there was heavy fire, but no one was injured.

The fire is still under investigation.
