LIBERTY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Troopers are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian in Pickens County on Wednesday morning.
Troopers said at about 1:30 a.m., a man, identified by Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley as 30-year-old Vance Bailey, of Liberty, was killed after a car hit him as he walked along Highway 135 near Liberty.
Kelley said it appears Bailey had crashed his car about a mile from where he was hit by the first car. Troopers said Bailey was then hit by two more vehicles while he was lying in the roadway.
Troopers said the weather made it hard for drivers to see the highway.
