A Union County man was arrested after deputies performed a traffic stop and discovered his tattoo equipment he allegedly used to give illegal tattoos.
Deputies said they were tipped off that 20-year-old Kristopher "Dylan" Childers was performing illegal tattoos in the Buffalo area so they began surveillance on Dec. 28.
Later that day, deputies said they stopped a car Childers was in, which he gave them permission to search, and they discovered a briefcase with tattoo guns, plastic tips, ink, rubber bands, scissors, needles, stencils and drawings inside and a backpack with other similar items.
Childers told deputies he did not have a tattoo license but the gear was his. He was arrested and charged with illegal tattooing. He was later released from jail.
