GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they charged a Greer man who got into a fight and shot another man, who was dropped off at a local hospital before police could arrive.

Greenville County deputies said 36-year-old Robert Frady and the victim fought at a home on Ponder Road about noon on Wednesday, and Frady shot the victim.

Deputies said Frady fled the scene, and the victim was taken to Greer Memorial Hospital by acquaintances who were not involved in the argument. At first, investigators did not know how or where the victim was shot and used surveillance from the hospital to track who dropped him off.

Greer police were able to track the black Camaro, which was stopped on CCC Camp Road Wednesday night. Lt. Jim Holcombe of the Greer Police Department said that the man fled the scene but was later arrested on unrelated charges by a Greer police officer inside the city limits. He said the woman was found and questioned, but she was not taken into custody.

Deputies said the search for the Camaro eventually led investigators to the Ponder Road home.

On Thursday, U.S. Marshals Task Force helped deputies arrest Frady without incident. He is being held at the county jail on charges of possession of a weapon during a violent crime, attempted murder and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Deputies did not have an update on the victim's condition.
