Happy Tuesday! It's another frosty morning, so make sure you give yourself enough time to clear the ice off your car before hitting the road. Some low clouds are showing up across parts of the viewing area as well, and they'll stick with us through the AM commute.
Winds are taking on more of a northeasterly direction this morning, which will hold temperatures a bit cooler today. Highs this afternoon will reach the low 50s in both the Upstate and WNC. The winds will also allow for cloud cover to stick around through the day, so I'm not expecting the clear blue skies of yesterday to continue today. Instead, we'll likely see a mix of clouds and sunshine through Tuesday (partly to mostly cloudy), before mostly cloudy skies take over tonight and through the end of the week.
We will stay dry today, but a spotty shower is possible tonight and during the day Wednesday. Through the next 36 hours I don't think we'll see much in the way of rain, though. A better chance of rain will arrive Thursday and Friday, but even then it will likely be scattered in nature. Despite the cloud cover and rain chances through the second half of the week, temperatures will be warm. Upstate highs will reach the low to mid 60s Wednesday through Friday, while WNC highs during the same period will rise into the upper 50s and low 60s.
The weekend will bring the warmest days - as Upstate highs top out in the upper 60s and low 70s (WNC highs will reach the mid/upper 60s this weekend)! A slight chance of a shower will stick around Saturday and Sunday, with higher rain chances back on Monday of next week (but even then, temperatures stay mild).
