EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Easley High School head football coach Chad Smith has taken a job at Clover High School, according to School District of Pickens County spokesman John Eby.
Eby said Smith resigned Monday to accept the job as the head football coach at the York County school.
"Chad has done a great job not only bringing excitement back to EHS football, but also building character in the young men that he has coached," said Easley High School Principal Tim Mullins.
"We had three wonderful season under his leadership, and it is hard to realize a future without him," said Easley High School Athletic Director Chris Carter.
Smith led the Green Wave to a 9-3 season in 2012, Eby said.
