GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said a landscaper who worked for a local home went back to the home to break in and steal prescription drugs.

Greenville County deputies said they were tipped off to a burglary at a home on Ivanhoe Circle on Sunday morning and when they pulled up, a pickup truck was parked between the two neighboring homes with an extension ladder propped up against a roof.

Deputies said they used a loudspeaker to call the suspect out of the home. James Nelson, 25, climbed out of an upstairs window and down the ladder where he was arrested, deputies said.

Investigators said Nelson owned First Choice Lawn and Landscaping and has worked at several homes where he allegedly stole medicine. Deputies said Nelson had once worked for the Ivanhoe Circle homeowners and knew they would be at church at the time of the burglary.

Nelson was charged with burglary second degree and possession of burglary tools. He has since been released from jail on $15,000 bond.

Deputies ask anyone who thinks they may have been a victim of Nelson to call the sheriff's office.
