A grease-clogged sewer line overflowed in Clemson on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a press release on the city's website, around 1,000 gallons of sewage overflowed in about two hours from the main line located at 328 Woodland Way. They said the sewage flowed into a nearby, unnamed creek.
Residents in the Woodland Way, Riggs Drive, Poole Lane, Strode Circle and J.C. Park neighborhoods were asked to stay out of the waterway for the next week.
