SPARTANBURG, SC (AP) -
Two of South Carolina's representatives in Congress are scheduled to make several appearances together in the Upstate.
U.S. Sen. Tim Scott and U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy are set to make several stops in Spartanburg on Thursday during a swing through the state's northwest.
Scott and Gowdy are starting their afternoon tour at the Children's Advocacy Center. Gowdy's office says the pair will also visit Safe Homes and the Spartanburg Sheriff's Department.
Gowdy and Scott were both elected in 2010 and won second terms last November. But last month, Gov. Nikki Haley picked Scott to serve the next two years of a Senate term left open by the departure of Republican Jim DeMint.
