GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
An advertisement on Craigslist led to the robbery of a North Carolina couple Tuesday afternoon, according to Greenville County deputies.
Investigators said the couple came to Greenville to buy an iPhone 5 that was listed for sale on the popular classifieds website. They said the couple agreed to meet the seller in the parking lot of a restaurant at 3290 N. Pleasantburg Dr.
Deputies said that when the couple arrived, the seller pointed a gun at them and demanded their money and belongings. They said a second armed person arrived and assisted with the robbery.
Investigators said the armed pair got away with the couple's phone, debit and credit cards, keys and cash.
Deputies said they have obtained security camera images of a person of interest in the case. Anyone with information regarding either the crime or the identity of the person of interest is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME (864-232-7463).
