A search is under way for a Colorado woman who's reported missing from a private river trip in Grand Canyon National Park.
Kaitlin Anne Kenney, 21, from Englewood, CO, was last seen Friday night at her group's camp near Tapeats Creek on the north side of the Colorado River, park rangers said.
The woman was reported missing Saturday by members of her party. Helicopter and ground crews searched the Tapeats and Deer Creek drainages, Surprise Valley and along the river all weekend.
Ground-based search crews were intensifying their efforts Monday in the Tapeats Creek area.
Kenney is described as 5'5" tall and weighs 125 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a tan knee-length coat, hiking boots, rugged tan pants, a long-sleeved gray shirt, a multi-colored scarf and a black knit cap.
People who find the missing woman are asked to contact the Grand Canyon tip line at 928-638-7767.
