SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Spartanburg police are looking for two men who robbed a local gas station at gunpoint late Tuesday night.
Two employees were working at the Union Street Sunoco when two unknown men held guns at the victims, robbing the store of cash about 10:10 p.m., police said.
One of the victims was out front sweeping when the robbers pulled up in a dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu, police said. One of the robbers held a gun to the clerk's head, forced him inside the store and onto the ground, according to the police report.
The other clerk was behind the counter when the second robber pointed a gun at her, demanding money from the cash registers. Both men fled the store in the Chevy, police said.
Officers said the car was seen fleeing north along Union Street.
Anyone who can identify the men seen on the store's surveillance or has information on the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
