William Mims (Spartanburg Co. Detention Center)
SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -
School officials said a former Wofford College student was arrested in connection with several thefts at dorm rooms during the fall semester.
Wofford College spokesperson Laura Corbin said that between late October and early November, a student, later identified as 21-year-old William Mims, entered dorm rooms that were left unlocked and stole clothing, prescription medicine and more.
Corbin said when the thefts were reported and Mims was identified as a suspect, officials searched his dorm room and found some of the missing items.
Mims was immediately expelled, Corbin said.
According to Spartanburg County Detention Center records, Mims was arrested on Thursday and charged with 10 counts of second-degree burglary and one count of carrying a weapon on school property.
