ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Anderson County deputies said they are looking for the person who shot a prized cow to death at a farm in Belton on Christmas Eve.
The shooting happened at Cherokee Farms on West Road.
Deputies said the person shot the Watusi cow, which had horns that spanned 7' from tip to tip, in the abdomen and left it to die.
A reward of $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the case.
Watusi is a breed of cattle that is native to Africa. They are known for their large, defensive horns that can span up to 8' from tip to tip.
