Happy Monday! Hopefully your weekend was fantastic, and your week is off to a great start. Weather-wise, we've got an easy forecast for our Monday. Highs will be a bit above-normal, rising into the upper 50s in the Upstate and the upper 40s/low 50s in WNC. We'll stay dry under mostly sunny skies - but winds will be on the breezy side later today. WNC winds will be NW at 10-15 mph, while Upstate winds will be westerly at 8-13 mph.
A cold front moves through tonight, ushering some MUCH colder air for Tuesday (this will be a dry front, however, so we won't see any rain or snow with the system). Morning lows tomorrow will be in the 20s for all - with much colder wind chill values! In WNC, it will feel like it's in the single digits and teens, while Upstate wind chill values will be in the low 20s and teens.
Despite sunshine through the day, Tuesday will be a frigid day. Highs will only reach the mid 40s in the Upstate and right around the freezing mark in WNC. The cold will continue to be the story on Wednesday, with even colder morning lows (upper teens and low/mid 20s)! Yikes!
The end of the week will bring the next rain chance, with a slight possibility of a bit of wintry precipitation in the Mountains on Thursday. As of now, it doesn't look like we'll see much then... but there will be a better chance of scattered rain area-wide on Friday. High elevation spots near the TN border could see a few Upslope snow showers on Saturday, while everyone else will be dry - but chilly - to start the weekend.
