An Asheville teacher has been suspended after being charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child.
Asheville Police Sgt. Michael Lamb said Aaron Cook, a second-grade teacher at Vance Elementary, said none of the alleged assaults happened on school property. He also said the alleged victim is not a student.
Lamb said Cook was being held in the Buncombe County Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
