CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
University police said they discovered a Clemson man hired to wash an employee's car had a weapon on campus.
Clemson University police said they were notified that a car detailing company hired to clean an university employee's personal car may have a gun on campus after one was reported missing from an earlier car-cleaning job in nearby Seneca.
Police Chief Johnson Link said when officers spoke to the cleaning crew, 34-year-old James Durham initially denied having a weapon, but they later found a gun hidden.
Pickens County jail records show police arrested Durham on Sunday, charging him with felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a weapon on a university campus. He was being held in jail on a combined $10,000 bond.
